OUR MISSION

The mission of The Glow Up Academy is to equip, inspire, and empower girls ages 12–18 with the confidence, knowledge, support, and opportunities they need to discover who they are and become who they are meant to be.

We are committed to supporting the whole girl by promoting personal development, leadership, inner wellness, self-confidence, education, entrepreneurship, career exploration, and meaningful mentorship.

Through educational programs, workshops, mentorship, and exposure to new opportunities, we create spaces where girls can discover their voices, develop their talents, explore their purpose, and dream beyond what they can currently see.

Our goal is to help each young woman build the confidence and resilience to navigate her future, pursue her goals, become a leader within her community, and create a life filled with purpose, possibility, and opportunity.

Our vision is to create a generation of confident, educated, empowered, and purpose-driven young women who understand their value, recognize their potential, and have access to the resources and opportunities necessary to succeed.

We envision The Glow Up Academy becoming a bridge between education and real-world opportunity by connecting girls with mentors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, media professionals, educators, and other accomplished women who can expose them to careers, industries, experiences, and possibilities they may have never imagined.

We believe that when a girl receives the right combination of education, exposure, encouragement, mentorship, and opportunity, she can transform not only her own future but also her family and her community.

 

MEET THE FOUNDER

LaCrystal Parker

Founder, The Glow Up Academy | Media Entrepreneur | Radio Personality | Entertainment Journalist

The Glow Up Academy was founded by LaCrystal Parker, a media entrepreneur, radio personality, entertainment journalist, content creator, and owner of The Glow Up Network.

Through her work in media and entertainment, LaCrystal has gained real-world experience in interviewing industry leaders, covering entertainment and cultural events, creating digital content, developing brand partnerships, and building professional relationships.

​

She created The Glow Up Academy to bring those experiences, resources, relationships, and lessons back to the next generation.

LaCrystal's passion is helping young women understand that their current circumstances do not have to determine the size of their dreams. Through mentorship, education, career exposure, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and personal empowerment, she wants girls to see possibilities for themselves that they may not have known existed.

Her goal is to help young women develop the confidence to say:

“I belong in the room. My voice matters. My ideas have value. And my future is full of possibilities.”
